Born in Barcelona, Javier Barba comes from a family with a 250-year legacy of architectural excellence. Raised in an environment where architecture was a way of life, he absorbed its essence from an early age. His academic training at the Barcelona School of Architecture instilled in him the principles of functionalism and geometric precision. However, Javier's vision transcended mere functionality; he sought harmony and integration with the environment. Long before sustainability became a mainstream concern, he embraced ecological principles, incorporating passive solar energy elements and drawing inspiration from local traditional architecture. He believed that buildings should not only serve their purpose efficiently but also coexist harmoniously with nature. In 1980, he founded BC Estudio Architects, in honor of his father, Barba Corsini, while forging his own innovative path. His combination of inherited wisdom and personal ingenuity earned him national and international acclaim. His work has been widely featured in Architectural Digest, with over 14 exclusive publications showcasing his distinctive style. Beginning with residential commissions, his portfolio has expanded to encompass a diverse range of projects, including residential developments, boutique hotels, wineries, and golf clubs. As CEO of BC Estudio, Javier leads a passionate team dedicated to functional yet emotive architecture. The studio now includes a landscape design department and advisory services, reflecting his commitment to holistic design solutions. Gabriel Barba is a Spanish architect and industrial designer, registered with the prestigious College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC). His professional career began in industrial and product design, which allowed him to develop a unique sensitivity towards functionality and aesthetics. After completing his degree in Architecture, he expanded his scope of action to encompass a diverse range of architectural projects, ranging from residential housing to large developments such as wineries, hotels and resorts.

Jordi Barba is a highly skilled landscape architect with extensive experience and a diverse academic background. He holds a Landscape Architecture degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona (ETSABUPC), complemented by a Biology degree from the Universitat de Girona (UDG) and a Master's degree in Engineering and Environmental Management. His comprehensive understanding of natural sciences and environmental engineering provides a unique perspective to his landscape architecture work. His multifaceted education fosters a broad approach to environmental issues, enriching his problem-solving skills in landscape architecture projects of various scales and typologies.

Margarida is a distinguished Portuguese architect and interior designer with over 15 years of international experience. Currently leading the interior design team at BC Estudio, she has made significant contributions to the field through her keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence. Beginning her career as an architect, Margarida honed her skills in creativity, spatial perception, and construction solutions. Eight years in architecture provided her with a profound understanding of sustainable materials and environmental considerations, reflecting her deep commitment to environmental responsibility. Transitioning to interior design, she brought a wealth of experience and a passion for creating spaces that are sensitive, coherent, warm, and authentic. Every project demonstrates her dedication to understanding each client's unique needs and infusing every design with passion and commitment. As Interior Design Director at BC Estudio for the past seven years, Margarida has led numerous high-profile projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings, hotels, wineries, and golf clubhouses. She ensures that interior designs seamlessly integrate with the overall architectural and landscaping concepts, creating cohesive and harmonious spaces. Margarida leads her team through every stage of the design process, from concept to detailed documentation and on-site supervision. She also serves as the primary contact for external consultants, ensuring efficient communication and meticulous project management.
